We started making cheese at the dairy in Queenbower
in October 2006...

The aim was to create a variety of small scale handmade cheeses for the island.

Shortly afterwards we started winning awards, and in November 2017 we completed on the purchase of Queen Bower Dairy after the dairy farmer retired.

 

We now have 54 cows in the herd and they are a mixture of Guernsey and Jersey breeds.

We are introducing two new breeds; Montbéliarde and Norwegian Red in to the herd from 2018.

"You Can't Make Great Cheese With Bad Milk"

 

We have always enjoyed the best quality milk and very close supplier relationships with Queen Bower Dairy and Briddlesford Farm.

 

Now that we run the dairy here at Queen Bower, we're putting an even greater emphasis on the management of the pasture and the happiness of the cows.

 

In 2018 we plan to reseed the majority of the fields on the farm with the aim being to produce grass and silage that gives the girls the best possible food all year round.

SALSA accredited.
